Road marking paint, also known as road surface anti-skid paint, etc., is composed of base material and anti-skid aggregate. Glass beads can be sprinkled on the coating surface. The color of the coating after forming is mainly red, green, yellow, blue and so on.

Traffic road coatings are mainly divided into the following three varieties:

(1) Hot melt type
This type of coating is physically dry type. Anti-slip aggregate is generally premixed in the paint, the construction temperature is above 200℃, and the energy consumption is high. However, the cost is relatively low, environmental protection is good, and there is basically no environmental pollution. Because the film-forming material is thermoplastic resin, it is easy to deform at high temperature, easy to crack, and difficult to construct a large area, the durability is generally about 2 years.

(2) two-component cold coating type 
This type of coating is chemically crosslinked and solidified. During construction at normal temperature, the two-component base material is mixed and coated on the road surface, and then the anti-slip aggregate is immediately scattered. The scattered aggregate is non-colored anti-slip aggregate, and a colored surface layer should be applied. The base material of this kind of coating is generally composed of a solvent-free two-component system, but there are some residual monomers in the film forming resin, which has little pollution to the environment. The film forming resin is mainly acrylic acid, epoxy resin and other types, with good adhesion to the base, firmly combined with the road surface, wear resistance, durability, but the cost is slightly higher. 

(3)Single-component cold coating type
This type of coating is physically drying. The non-slip aggregate is relatively fine and is generally pre-mixed in the paint. Construction at room temperature, due to the volatile organic solvents contained in the paint, the environmental pollution is serious. The thickness of one-time film formation is relatively thin, and it takes multiple sprays to reach a certain coating thickness, and the adhesion to the base layer is poor; its wear resistance and durability are closely related to the coating thickness.st.
