53%! Satellite view of China, the desert green effect is remarkable, the earth is greener, but very worried about India

2024-11-01

Once, many people said that everywhere was in a 'desert' state, with no trees at all. Do you think such a statement still holds true? I believe it's no longer the case because China's ecological maintenance can be considered top-notch, completely changing this appearance. On a global scale, China ranks second in terms of ecological system maintenance, and perhaps no one dares to claim the top spot.

On the 29th World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, China once again showcased its achievements in ecosystem maintenance. Many people were amazed by the visible changes in desertified land that can now be effectively managed through satellite imagery. In just a few short years, China has completely transformed and effectively governed these areas. Our living environment is improving, but just how good is it? Of course, some people wonder, if we're doing so well, why are there still dust storms? Is there a connection between the two? Let's take a closer look step by step.

Satellites reveal significant greening of deserts in China!
Indeed, China is one of the countries with the most serious desertification in the world. Data show that the desertified land area of the country is 2,573,700 square kilometers, accounting for 26.81% of the total land area, and the desertified land area is 1,687,800 square kilometers, accounting for 17.58% of the total land area. Therefore, if this part of the desertification area can be changed, then our ecosystem will definitely be better, which is an undeniable fact.

However, satellite data shows that China has truly achieved it — creating a new miracle in desertification control. A total of 20.33 million hectares of desertified land have been treated, with 53% of the land that can be effectively managed now under control.

Below are several satellite comparison images that illustrate the dramatic changes in desert control that have taken place in China.

So, from satellite observations, it's undeniable: China's deserts are turning green significantly. This is a testament to the undeniable fact that China is making considerable efforts in changing and maintaining its ecosystem.

Moreover, even if we can see from the dynamic satellite images, large areas of our country have been "green", at the same time, even in the desert area, there is no formation of the largest green area, but from the "scattered small green spots" can be seen - there was no, this can already be seen on the satellite. All these show that desert greening or desert oasis has achieved remarkable  results.
